Antique 19th Century Portrait Painting of a gentleman In Period Dress.

A fabulous original oil on canvas painting. Depicting a gentleman in 18th Century clothing. The canvas itself looks to be 19th century so we would think this was painted a little later than the clothing suggests.

Unsigned. Framed in a wooden gesso and gilt wood frame with some age related losses around the edges.

A repair at some point to the canvas as you can see in the last image.

All in all a fabulous period painting that will look superb in any style interior.
