Original oil painting on canvas spring blossom.
This is a really lovely painting. On canvas with beautiful colours and a really uplifting feel to the subject.
We have a farmer working in his orchard with the trees in blossom under a cloudless spring sky.
Two horses with their riders trot by in the background.
You can see the hills in the far distance the tops covered in a layer of snow.
All in all a beautiful English spring scene.
Good overall condition. There is some age related discolouration to the canvas and you can see some stretcher marks around the canvas.
The frame itself has some wear and losses so would benefit from replacing if you wish but we do think it actually adds something to the painting to leave it it’s original gilt frame.
