Huge hand carved wooden Rococo overmantle mirror frame circa 1820.
A very large antique frame. Originally this would have had a plate glass inside. This is hand carved wood not gesso and is a stunning piece.
It has had some restoration on the base and has a little carving missing of the top section. A little further restoration would be necessary along with the addition of a mirror plate.
Early to mid 19th century.
Possibly made to order for a grand house in the early 19th Century. Hand carved and gilded by a skilled craftsman.

Measures 160 cm wide at the widest point x 170 cm high
Mirror size would be 155 cm x 128 cm.
