An interesting oil painting in the British modern school style.
Painted on board with a confident style. On board using a mixture of impasto and smooth paint.
We have a selection of various bottles laid out on the table possibly with a block of cheese and bread to the foreground. The painting has a great feel and a real sense of early 20th Century style.
Indistinctly signed lower left. Framed in a mid century frame with hessian border.
Exhibition label verso for the South Eastern Federation Nineteenth annual exhibition. Framed at Ernest Wheatley Ltd Regent St London.
The painting is in good condition. Minimal wear to the frame but overall good ready to hang in its original frame.
