Victorian “Wally dogs”
A super pair of original 19th Century Staffordshire hearth spaniels.
Designed to sit on the mantle piece with flat backs because you didn’t see that side.
These were very popular in Victorian times and almost every home would have their own pair. Each one was hand painted and the faces unique.
This pair are really charming and quite a good size with beautiful faces ! In super condition with no cracks or chips just some age related crazing as would be expected.
They look great in any style room contemporary or traditional and add a brilliant focal point.
Each one is 32 cm high x 23 cm wide x 10 cm deep
