Victorian reverse painting on glass
A superb painting.
Reverse painted on glass.
A technique popular in the 19th Century and very difficult to to.
This one shows a church and has mother of pearl inlay in the windows.
In quite nice condition some loss of paint in places as it has flaked away over the years as is often the case with these paintings.
All in all a charming rare little painting with a lovely subject matter.
