Oil Painting On Board Australian Town By Barbara Peake.

A fabulous oil on board by this accomplished Australian artist.

Born in Hobart in 1925, Barbara studied in Melbourne at Swinburne Technical college from 1944/46 and then for a year in Germany at the Frankfurt Academy. She was a traditional painter of landscapes and seascapes and was a teacher at the Malvern arts society in Melbourne.

Framed in a wooden black frame in super overall condition this lovely painting shows a typical country town in Australia.

You could imagine yourself walking into the hotel and ordering an ice cold beer, settling down and watching the goings on in this sleepy little town.
