Tribal art figure
A rare figure from the Yoruba Nigeria
Female figure with four faces held above her head.
A very unusual form of this particular art work.
These figures were usually carved if a twin should die in order to bring luck to the tribe. Could this be to replace four children ? Who knows but a rare and interesting piece.
