ANTIQUE PONY SKIN TRUNK PALM HILL SILVER.
A fabulous antique pony skin trunk.
As used in military campaigns during the 18th /19th Century.
This is a lovely old example and bears a label stating it was used to deposit silver at the bank in Palm Hill. One can only guess where this bank was? Possibly a colonial outpost of the British Empire ?
It’s in totally unrestored condition and quite good for the age of the piece. Fabulous wear to the pony skin and the iron frame.
