Vintage Traditional Shiraz Rug  HandMade  85 Cm X 92 Cm.

A fabulous rug in rich red ground. Hand woven using traditional methods with designs from memory passed down from generation to generation.

Woven in wool coloured with vegetable dyes the reds are beautifully natural with out being harsh like the synthetic colours used in later carpets.

Lovely vintage condition dating from the early to mid 20th Century. This rug will just get better and better with age and is a lovely example. It’s a perfect size for a hallway or maybe besides a bed. These rugs are such a classic they will never go out of style and bring instant “Country House” style to a room.
