Antique brass string dispenser.
This is a lovely little example dating from the 1880’s. This would have sat on a store counter to tie up customers parcels or perhaps used in a wealthy home. A great example of Victorian decorative arts and imagination
The string emerges from a little hole in the lid. Super cute and of course you can use it for various items on a desk.
Nice condition a little ding on the base where no doubt it’s fell off the shop counter.
Lovely item and very tactile.
Measures 9 cm x 9 cm approximately.
