Silver plate finials

I have to confess I don't know exactly what these were originally for ?

The are beautifully made in silver plate over copper with intricate detail . Stunning Repousse and chasing make each one a work of art

Each one has two square holes in one side which I guess should have taken a metal rod.

Perhaps the top of a bed ? Or maybe to support something when formed as a square ?

They are quite stunning as decorative pieces but could be used for a variety of purposes.

They are in good condition with a couple of dings here and there but nothing to detract really
