A beautiful early hand carved wooden crucifix. The figure of Christ mounted to a wooden hand made cross with stepped base.

Beautifully carved with a super attention to detail. The face is quite stunning and very realistic. 

The figure is carved from wood probably pine and has been over painted in gold more recently. The figure itself would date form the 17th Century the cross probably later.

The figure is in good condition with no damage. The right arm is a little loose around the joint with the shoulder. 

The cross itself has some wear as may be expected.

All in all a beautiful Altar piece that will make a lovely addition to a collection.

Measures 85 cm full height x 34 cm wide for the cross 

The figure of Christ 29 cm x 31 cm approximately.

Good overall condition. Right arm slightly loose some loss of gold paint.

General wear to the wooden cross.
