A pair of French church altar candlesticks

A fabulous pair of pricket altar candlesticks. Made in heavy brass which has developed a super patina over the years. The bottoms now showing a verdigris colouration around the base. Some candle wax residue which we like but can easily be removed with some hot water. 

The bases are highly decorative adorned with Greek masks and swags giving them a distinctive neoclassical feeling.

Excellent condition and very unusual to find a pair these will make a superb addition to a room.

Use them as a table centre piece, besides a fire or on a mantle piece for maximum impact.

59 cm high x 18 cm at the base.

Each one weights approximately 3.7 kg
