19th Century chess box

19th Century Chess / Backgammon Box.

Good early 19th century Georgian mahogany folding games box. The box with boxwood and ebony inlaid chess board on the out side and backgammon on the inside.

The inside is also nicely inlaid with boxwood and ebony inlays. The box folds in half and is in good condition for its age. It’s obviously been played with and much loved so there is a lot of wear to the edges and top of the box. Please study the photographs and please do contact us if you have any questions at all.
