Vintage Silver tone Upper Arm Bangle – Hand Chased Tribal Armlet – Geometric Bajuband Statement Jewellery

A remarkable vintage handcrafted upper-arm bangle or armlet, made in a substantial rigid form with a large rectangular decorative plaque.

The surface is richly hand chased with geometric patterns, including a central sunburst, dotted fields, triangles and linear motifs. Further engraved decoration runs around the broad curved band.

This style of upper-arm ornament is sometimes known as a bajuband or bazuband in India. However, the precise country and cultural origin of this example has not been confirmed, so it is offered as an unattributed vintage tribal armlet.

The metal has not been fully tested or assayed, so no overall silver fineness is guaranteed.

This is a very substantial collector’s piece and is intended for the upper arm—not the wrist.
