Description:
A striking vintage Moroccan necklace made from a varied selection of mixed beads, including what appear to be natural carnelian or agate beads, coloured glass trade beads, striped black-and-white beads and bright blue disc spacers.

The necklace has a wonderfully individual, hand-assembled appearance, with beads of different shapes, sizes and likely ages. The red translucent elongated beads and warm orange stone beads give it a particularly bold North African look.

Acquired from a private collection connected with Morocco.

Likely mid-20th century, although some individual beads may be older. The necklace may have been restrung or added to over time, as is common with traditional bead jewellery.

Condition:
