An original hand coloured engraving from the History of Earth & animated Nature by Oliver Goldsmith.
This hand colored engraving is from a set published in London in the 1860s by Fullarton and Company of London and Edinburgh, and was made to educate the general population about natural history. It was made by steel plate engraving and has original, hand painted colors. It is in very good condition. Laid down on cream paper in good overall condition some foxing and pin holes to the very outer margins. Unframed  25 cm x 16 cm
