This superb watercolour has just come into us from a local country estate sale.

Definitely one of the nicest still life paintings that we have ever sold.

The pottery has been captured beautifully and the shadows and light gives the painting a very special feel.

The painting isn’t signed as far as we can see but a note to the reverse states it was painted by Lucy Countess of powys in June 1939. On the back of the art work is a signature photograph in the last image
