Vintage West German Ceramic Planter – Mid-Century Leaf Design – 1960s/70s

A striking vintage West German ceramic planter dating from the 1960s or 1970s.

The planter has a softly textured pale grey glaze decorated with a bold stylised leaf design in warm terracotta and brown tones. Its clean cylindrical shape and earthy colour palette give it a wonderfully distinctive mid-century look.

Marked to the base “Made in W. Germany” with the impressed numbers 12/2 and 23 22.

In very good vintage condition. There is a small original manufacturing/firing imperfection on the rim, shown clearly in the photographs. This is beneath/within the glaze and is not a later chip. Light crazing and minor signs of age are present, adding to its authentic vintage character.

A lovely decorative planter for a retro, mid-century or eclectic interior.

14 cm x 13 cm approx
