A Pair Of Georgian Hand Held Candle Chamber Sticks.

A fabulous early Georgian pair of chamber sticks.

Dating from around 1740 these have a superb rich golden colour to the brass found in earlier brass of this period.

They would have been used to light ones way to the bedroom when the only light available was by candles.

They have been very well used which makes them all the more beautiful. Some dents and misshaped edges around the tops. One has a slight split around the candle base. Overall remarkable condition for over 200 years old . These would have been a well loved essential part of every day Georgian life.

One still has its original pusher. Lovely tactile country house candlesticks that will be beautiful as well as useful.
