Antique lime wood Figure Of The Virgin Mary And Child.

An interesting figure of Madonna and child.

Carved by hand in lime wood .

Dating from early 19th Century but possibly earlier. Traces of original paint now worn away to leave this lovely looking patina to the piece.

27 cm high approximately

6 cm wide approximately

Nice overall condition some shrinkage as you may expect where the wood has dried out. Probably an Italian piece or originating from the Holy Land.
