Antique oak French carved side table

Antique French Carved Oak Side Table.

A very interesting oak side table. Beautifully hand crafted in oak. Carved details around the edges of the table and standing on elegant cabriole legs. Early 19th Century or earlier.

Acanthus leaves to the tops of the legs and floral carved decoration around the sides. The oak has a lovely patina with the top being lighter than the legs possibly due to being in the sun.

Stands at 70 cm high x 36 cm square. 

In nice condition some shrinkage and splits to the wood as you may expect as the oak has dried out over the years but nothing that detracts form the beauty of this piece.

All in all a very useful attractive table.
