1950’s Ceramic Pugi Vase. Sea foam glaze.

An amazing French ceramic vase with a hand-painted multicoloured leaping stag decor, signed Pugi. This distinctly vintage vase was made by Fiorini Pugi in one of the smallest – and richest – countries in the world: Monaco.

The black and white glaze has many reliefs and symbolises the foam of sea. The workshop was located in Monaco in the 1950’s and 60’s the style is close to some ceramists of Vallauris in 1960s-1970s.

Super condition one little nibble or possibly a glazing fault on the edge of the rim. Shown in last image.
