Antique Oil Painting Of A Lady amongst the corn.
Early 20th century painting of the head and shoulders of a lady.
She has an incredible carefree vibe and almost a pagan look to her. She just looks like she would be at ease lying in the summer fields surrounded by nature.
Perhaps she was inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite movement of the late 19th Century.
She is painted on canvas around 1900/1920 using oils. There is quite a lot of wear to the painted surface and lots of crazing. But we love this and it does add to her charm. She’s framed in a rather battered old pine frame which again suits it perfectly.
