19th Century vanity mirror.
A super example. A brass shaving mirror set upon a reeded column rising from a scalloped brass base.
The mirror with bevelled glass. Some signs of foxing and age related marks to the glass. Overall in good condition for the age which we would put at around 1880. Nice unpolished patina with some signs of verdigris which we like but it could be polished further if you so wish.
Weighted base.
The mirror itself tilts and can be fixed in position with a clamp at the back of the mirror.
All in all a rare example and very appealing for a dressing room or bookcase perhaps.
Stands at 41 cm high x 18 cm mirror diameter.
